Terms of service

The short version: share your own location, be decent about it, and don’t rely on MyLoco for emergencies. Details below.

What MyLoco is

A way to share your live location for a short, visible window through a link that expires on a timer. It is provided as-is, without warranties.

What you agree to

Share only your own location, from your own device. Don’t use MyLoco to harass, surveil, or deceive anyone, and don’t attempt to access shares that weren’t sent to you.

Personal use

The free MyLoco app is licensed for personal, non-commercial use. Using location shares as part of running a business — deliveries, service calls, dispatch — is what MyLoco for Business is for, with branded tracking pages and an API. An occasional work errand won’t get you in trouble; routing your fleet through the free app will get you a friendly email.

What we're not

MyLoco is not a safety, emergency, or tracking service. Positions can be delayed or wrong — GPS is like that. Don’t make critical decisions based on a pin on a map.

Business accounts and the API

MyLoco for Business (branded tracking pages, the API, optional route history) is in early access: it is provided without uptime guarantees, its terms will be replaced by dedicated business terms and a data processing agreement as it matures, and we may revoke API keys that are abused or unused. Business route history is retained only when the account turns it on, belongs to that business, and is capped at 90 days. Everything in “What you agree to” applies to business use too — a driver’s location is shared from their device, knowingly, or not at all.

Endings

Shares end on their timer, when you stop them, or if we must terminate service for abuse. When a share ends, its location data is deleted — that part is non-negotiable, and it works in your favor. Questions: hello@myloco.app.
